On behalf of the organization community, we would like to extend our warmest welcome to you to attend the “The 10th Asian-European Symposium on Metal-Mediated Efficient Organic Synthesis (AES 2018)”, which will be held on September 27-30, 2018 in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The major themes of the symposium will cover frontiers in (1) Homogeneous Catalysis; (2) Heterogeneous Catalysis; (3) Asymmetric catalytic transformations; (4) C-H activation reactions; (5) Application of catalysis in natural product synthesis. The AES originated from Germany (1996, Göttingen), which was initially organized by Prof. deMeijere.The symposiums were then held in Kyoto, Japan (Prof. Hiyama, 2002), in München, Germany (Prof. Knochel, 2003), in Nagasaki, Japan (Prof. Tamaru and Hayashi, 2005), in Strasbourg, France (Prof. Suffert, 2008), in Singapore (Prof. Loh and Narasaka, 2010), in Tarragona, Spain (Prof. Echavarren, 2012), in Çeşme, Turkey (Prof. Artok, 2014), and in Stockholm, Sweden (Prof. Martín-Matute, 2016). This will be thus the 10th AES symposium. Besides the renowned speakers in Asia regions (including Japan, mainland China, South Korea, and Singapore), some distinguished speakers and participants from European regions (including Belgium, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and UK) will gather together with direct experience sharing and potential research cooperation.The purpose on this symposium is to meet research scientists from both industry and academia especially in Asia and European region, and to exchange the most up-to-date methods and processes for the efficient and selective production of fine chemicals through metal-mediated methods. AES has laid a solid tradition of having world-class chemists as speakers. The symposium is organized by National Tsing Hua University, National Taiwan Normal University, Academia Sinica and Taiwanese OLED & PLED Association with funding supports from the Ministry of Science & Tech. (MOST). |
